The Do Good for Erin Foundation was established in loving memory of Erin Langhofer. Her caring family and thousands of friends, along with co-workers and patients who benefited from her dedication and positive outlook, honor Erin's legacy by doing good in her name. Through the Foundation, we intend to carry forward Erin's positive impact on the Kansas City community.
Each year, the Foundation will conduct a Do Good for Erin campaign in December, Erin's birthday month. Since 2019, we have donated two truckloads of adult and youth clothing and more than $70,000 to Rose Brooks Center to support their mission and work with domestic violence victims.
In 2022, our fourth year, the funds contributed during Do Good for Erin will be used to furnish Erin's House at Healing House in Kansas City. At Erin's House, mothers in substance abuse recovery who are also domestic violence survivors will be housed with their children with the goal of rebuilding their lives together.
Starting in 2023, the Do Good for Erin Foundation also will fund two $5,000 scholarships at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare for students who wish to continue their education at the master’s level. Finally, our grant committee reviews decisions and funding requests from other 501c3 organizations that are aligned with Erin's passions and interests.
Our partnership with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation makes your donation tax-deductible.
