We did it!

2025 was a banner year for Do Good for Erin, as our annual campaign reached new fundraising heights. Thanks to a growing army of supporters — both familiar and first-time contributors — we easily hit our ambitious fundraising goal of $350,000. Between cash donations, pickleball registrations, and new toasters, vacuums, and laundry baskets, Do Good for Erin was the beneficiary of an extensive roster of giving goodness.

With the campaign’s success, the contract has been signed with Martanne Construction, the general contractor who was responsible for the impressive restoration of Erin’s House I. Renovations on the new Erin’s House began on January 19th with a targeted Grand Opening in late 2026.

Why did this year’s campaign outpace our previous efforts? In part, we believe new donors were attracted by the extensive local TV media coverage we received this year. All four local TV stations ran stories detailing this year’s campaign and our plans to create a second Erin’s House. We even had a donated digital billboard on Interstate 35!

These efforts resulted in donations of more than $30,000 in new home furnishings at the December 13th Drop Off Event for Erin’s House II. This is considerably more than the house will need, so Friends of Yates will share the bounty with 40 years of shelter “alumni.” They are SO appreciative, to say the least.
